CAIT and Horizon Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement

On February 9, 2026, Contemporary Amperex Intelligent Technology (Shanghai) Limited (CAIT), a wholly-owned subsidiary of CATL, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Horizon Robotics (Horizon). The two parties will focus on the intelligent upgrade needs of new energy vehicles, aiming to deliver a "highly intelligent and highly safe smart mobility experience," and provide outstanding smart mobility solutions to global automotive OEMs and end users.

Under the agreement, CAIT will provide its Bedrock Chassis product portfolio and technologies, while Horizon will contribute its core capabilities in automotive intelligence, including full-scenario driver assistance products and solutions. Through coordinated software-hardware integration and cross-domain collaboration, the two parties will jointly explore a comprehensive intelligent system spanning from underlying platform to upper-level applications, delivering more competitive and diversified product offerings and service support to OEM customers globally.

CAIT is dedicated to the R&D and technical services of integrated intelligent chassis products, with its core offering being the Bedrock Chassis. As an independent intelligent mobility platform, the Bedrock Chassis highly integrates key technologies such as the batteries, electric drive, thermal management systems, and chassis domain controllers. This integration significantly enhances the Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) grouping efficiency and the Battery-to-Electric drive conversion efficiency. At the same time, by decoupling from the vehicle's upper body, it enables the synchronized development and parallel iteration of the vehicle upper body space and intelligent driving modules, efficiently supporting partners in technology iteration and product implementation.

Horizon focuses on advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) solutions for passenger vehicles, integrating leading algorithms, specialized software, and advanced processing hardware to provide core technologies for vehicle intelligence. Its portfolio includes full-scenario assisted driving software algorithms, automotive-grade domain controllers, and supporting hardware, covering system integration and mass production validation to further enhance driver and passenger safety and experience.
