Quanzhou City and CATL to Jointly Build an Intelligent Carbon-Neutral Battery Factory
On February 2, Quanzhou City and CATL officially signed a cooperation agreement on battery manufacturing project. The two parties will carry out in-depth collaboration in the R&D and manufacturing of new energy batteries, leveraging advanced green manufacturing technologies to build a modern, intelligent and carbon-neutral factory. The partnership will also enhance the value chain in the region, drive coordinated development among upstream and downstream enterprises, and strengthen local new energy industry ecosystem.
This cooperation will not only provide new production capacity support for CATL in serving the global energy transition, but also help Quanzhou cultivate strategic emerging industries in the new energy field. It represents a key initiative for developing new quality productive forces at the outset of the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
