Chery Automobile, Chery Green Energy, CATL, and CAES Enter into Strategic Cooperation
On April 25, Chery Automobile, Chery Green Energy, CATL, and CAES signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. The partnership aims to deepen cooperation across the energy value chain, with a focus on building a shared super-fast charging and battery swap network and fostering a green energy ecosystem. This initiative is designed to propel the new energy vehicle (NEV) industry into a new phase of high-quality development.
Under the agreement, the partners will jointly develop a range of dedicated vehicle models compatible with the battery swap network, offering consumers a convenient chargeable and swappable energy replenishment experience. Chery Automobile will fully adopt CATL's Choco-Swap system and its subsidiary CAES. CATL, on its part, will handle the development, iteration and supply of swappable batteries, while guaranteeing their quality and production capacity.
In the future, CATL will collaborate with all parties to promote the high-quality development of "vehicle-energy integration" across the entire industry, building a digital, zero-carbon energy replenishment network and providing users with a clean, efficient and convenient energy service experience.
