Recently, SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile ("SGMW") and CATL signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Ningde, Fujian. The two parties will carry out in-depth cooperation across four key areas: industrial scaling, passenger-commercial integrated battery swapping, joint global expansion, and ecosystem synergy.

From the Wuling Hongguang MINI EV to the Wuling Yangguang EV Champion Edition, CATL and SGMW have maintained cooperation for nearly a decade. This new strategic partnership marks an upgrade from single-model supply to a full-spectrum, full-scenario ecosystem collaboration.
In terms of battery supply, more than 15 full-range new energy vehicle models under SGMW will select CATL as their core power battery partner, while jointly exploring global market expansion. In April 2026, the Huajing S equipped with CATL batteries made its debut, delivering enhanced high-power performance and significantly improving users' smart mobility experience. The two parties will also jointly develop a fast charging solution capable of charging from 10% to 80% in less than 10 minutes.
In terms of energy replenishment infrastructure, SGMW's full-range battery-swapping models will gradually be integrated into CATL's nationwide battery swap network. The network is expected to have over 3,000 battery swap stations built by the end of this year, with battery packs ranging from 42 kWh to 56 kWh, supporting diverse applications from micro electric vehicles to A/B-segment passenger cars and commercial logistics vehicles, truly enabling "swap and go". This means Wuling users will not only be able to travel farther, but also enjoy extended vehicle service life with greater peace of mind. The two parties will further explore applications such as autonomous-driving vehicles, opening up comprehensive industrial collaboration.
Looking ahead, both sides will continue to put users at the center, use standardization as the link, and leverage new infrastructure as the foundation, jointly driving the development of new business models on a global scale, and moving toward a future of "energy replenishment freedom, industrial win-win, and green sustainability".
