CATL and SERES Sign Long-Term Strategic Cooperation Agreement

CHONGQING, China, October 10, 2026 — Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) and SERES Group signed a long-term strategic cooperation agreement in Chongqing on October 10, marking a new stage in their long-term partnership.

Since the launch of AITO, all AITO models have been equipped with CATL batteries, with cumulative deliveries exceeding 1.2 million units to date. Building on this partnership, AITO will continue to adopt CATL batteries across its full model lineup over the long term, while the two companies will further deepen strategic collaboration across three key areas:

● Production Capacity Expansion: Under the agreement, the two companies will accelerate Phase 2 of the "Plant in Plant" project at the SERES Super Factory. Phase 2 is planned to reach an annual capacity of 10 to 12 GWh. Once completed, the combined annual capacity of the two phases will exceed 20 GWh. Through this clustered production model, the two companies aim to enhance industrial efficiency, strengthen cost competitiveness, and support Chongqing in building a trillion-yuan high-end intelligent connected new energy vehicle industrial cluster.

● Supercharging and Energy Replenishment Ecosystem: The cooperation will focus on supercharging networks and battery services, creating a full-lifecycle service system to further enhance the user experience.

● Global Market Development: In addition, the two companies will work together to explore overseas markets, including Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, bringing high-quality products and services to more global customers and supporting the transition to intelligent electric mobility in key markets.
