CATL Receives the 2026 Volkswagen Group Award
Recently, CATL was granted the 2026 Volkswagen Group Award. With outstanding overall performance in battery technology R&D, supply chain stability, and efficient global execution, CATL stands as the sole power battery manufacturer and the only enterprise from Chinese mainland to be recognized this year.
CATL has been supplying NCM battery cells for Volkswagen's MEB platform since 2018. This year, the strategic partnership has been further extended to the mass production of Volkswagen's Unified Cell. Currently, CATL has delivered more than 200GWh of battery cells in total for the company, powering 45 models across eight iconic Volkswagen brands.
Going forward, CATL will deepen its partnership with Volkswagen, and stay committed to supporting Volkswagen's electrification transition and advancing large-scale production of sustainable vehicles with innovative battery technology and a robust supply chain.
