NINGDE, CHINA - Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) again passed the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) Assessment Level 3, the highest assessment level of information security by the European Automobile Manufacturers Association. Chen Ling, chief information officer of CATL, and Wei Binsheng, general manager of China business assurance of Deutscher Kraftfahrzeug-Überwachungs-Verein e.V. (DEKRA), attended the award ceremony on July 21 in CATL Ningde headquarters.

TISAX is an information security assessment and data exchange security mechanism in the European automotive industry and provides three levels of assessment. As the first batch of Chinese enterprises to pass the TISAX Assessment Level 3 in 2019, CATL has since then laid a solid foundation for the construction of an information security management system.

With CATL's rapid development, concern about information security has extended to the upstream and downstream supply chains. Therefore, CATL attaches great importance to information security management. In its production and operation activities, CATL has established an information security management system with high standards and full coverage (including the upstream supply chain), which meets regulatory requirements by following international best practices, laying a solid foundation for serving customers at home and abroad.

With continuous improvement in its information security, CATL has passed the TISAX's Assessment Level 3 again this year, showing that CATL's protection of availability, integrity and confidentiality of key information assets (including customer data) has reached the highest standard of the European automotive industry. In the future, CATL will adhere to the concept of customers focused and engage in safe, reliable cooperation with win-win development prospects following the highest international standards.
