CATL has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with China Certification & Inspection (Group) Co., Ltd. (CCIC). Based on the foundations of their existing cooperation, the two parties will further cooperate in aspects such as policy, regulation and standards research, inspection and certification, zero-carbon management, and product certification, helping the industry improve overall product quality and safety controls, while injecting new momentum into the standardized development of China's new energy industry.
As an internationally recognized service organization, CCIC boasts a service network covering more than 40 countries and regions around the world, and has more than 100 international qualifications and more than 300 national qualifications. Xu Zengde, Chairman of CCIC, said that CCIC is the only central enterprise with comprehensive quality services such as inspection, testing, certification, standards, and metrology as its main business. It will leverage its core advantages in globalization, full chain, and full-cycle technical services to serve and support CATL's sustainable development and continuously empower the globalization of Chinese new energy industry.
According to Robin Zeng, the signing of this strategic cooperation agreement will effectively drive the two parties to continuously improve cooperation efficiency, promote in-depth cooperation in inspection and testing, quality evaluation, and data resource development, while jointly facilitating the high-quality development of power batteries and the new energy vehicle industry in China.
