Recently, CATL entered into a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Chengdu Public Transport Group Co., Ltd. ("Chengdu Public Transport Group"). Leveraging CATL's innovative new energy technologies and Chengdu Public Transport Group's extensive urban transportation operational scenarios, the two parties will deepen collaboration in multiple areas. These include establishing a closed-loop vehicle aftermarket ecosystem, developing a city-wide battery swapping network, and enhancing industry-research synergy.
The collaboration will focus on three strategic dimensions: First, Building an integrated "vehicle-charger-grid" service system by combining Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) technology with smart urban transportation networks, creating a smart maintenance ecosystem for the vehicle aftermarket; Second, to deepen the joint research and development of key electrification technologies, with a focus on addressing critical public transportation industry challenges including energy replenishment and range extension, thereby facilitating the industrialization of R&D achievements; Third, establishing a technology exchange platform through annual summits and industry-academia-research collaboration mechanisms to facilitate joint development of industry standard and the commercialization of cutting-edge technologies.
Moving forward, the two parties will drive the deep integration of new energy technologies into urban transportation systems through technological collaboration and scenario innovation. This partnership will establish an innovative model for optimizing urban energy structures and achieving dual carbon goals, while accelerating the comprehensive electrification transformation of the public transportation industry.
