On March 16, CATL's subsidiary Global Contemporary Technology Co., Limited (GCTL), and Min Expressway's affiliate Fujian Expressway Amperex Technology Limited (FEATL) signed a cooperation agreement on heavy-duty truck battery swapping project.

According to the agreement, the two parties will give full play to the combined resource advantages of "expressway + new energy" to carry out the investment, construction and operation of the heavy-duty truck battery swapping stations.

The first phase of the project will include the building and operation of four heavy-duty truck battery swapping stations in Changle and Luoyangjiang service areas along the expressway to provide timely energy refueling services for electric heavy-duty trucks traveling between Ningde and Xiamen so as to eliminate the range anxiety of new energy heavy-duty truck users, building the first new energy green logistics expressway in Fujian Province.

In the future, the two parties will continue to make concerted effort, closely focus on the high-quality and sustainable development of the new energy industry in expressway, further enrich and improve the layout of the industry in Fujian Province, and jointly usher in the era of comprehensive electrification of heavy-duty trucks.
