Contemporary Amperex Energy Service Technology Ltd. (CAES) attended IAA Mobility 2023 with its battery swapping solution EVOGO, from September 5 to 8, to introduce an innovative e-mobility solution for Europe.
During the exhibition, EVOGO has been a spot light to attract OEMs, investors and research institutions from all over the world. On the opening day of the IAA Mobility 2023, global politicians and leaders visited the EVOGO solution, including Olaf Scholz, the German Chancellor , Volker Wissing, the Federal Minister for Digital and Transport, Wan Gang, the President of China Association for Science and Technology, and Péter Szijjártó, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Hungary, etc.
A standard EVOGO battery swap station only takes up three parking spots' space and can stock up to 48 Choco-SEBs (swapping EV battery), and only 3 minutes are needed to serve an electric vehicle. The attendees endorsed EVOGO and looked forward to seeing it in Europe soon, for its efficiency, convenience and the fully utilization of limited city land, which was especially essential for Europe where charging infrastructure was insufficient.
According to the data from the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association, the sales of electric vehicles in 30 European countries exceeded gasoline vehicles in the first four months of 2023 for the first time. CAES, a wholly-owned subsidiary of CATL, leveraged CATL's leading battery technology and industrial advantages to achieve battery standardization, sharing and large-scale application, and to maximize the value of limited resources and accelerating Europe's e-mobility.
