Our ranch, overlooking the Pacific Coast and
Morro Bay is the home to Hayfork’s Longhorn cattle. After purchasing
our first Longhorns almost 30 years ago we were inspired to learn all we
could about them. We realized the potential and understood the fact that
the more we learned the more successful our endeavors would be.
We raise Texas Longhorn cattle for many reasons.
We love the West and their history, and we just plain like to look at them.
They are fun to work with, and they seem to be more inquisitive, and intelligent
than most breeds. With the right kind of handling they have proven to be
gentle and quiet.

As an artist, I love to see the many colors
and patterns as the cattle graze across the golden hills. It is always a
thrill to see the colorful and spunky new calves.
In the early 1990's our grandchildren became
good enough to win a few championships and some very special memories. One of the highlights was our first herd sire HAYFORKS IMPRESSIVE
winning GET OF SIRE at Plymouth. At our very first show at the State Fair in 1990, he had won his class and our Steer HAYFORKS TIGER win GRAND CHAMPION STEER. In 1997 IMPRESSIVE daughter HAYFORKS IMPRESSIVE LADY won MATURE GRAND CHAMPION. She was only four years old with twin heifers at her side.

CONGRATULATIONS to TYLER CASSARA for winning the 2006 GRAND CHAMPION COW at the Gold Coutry World Qualifying Show at Plymouth with HAYFORKS SUGETTE a daughter of HAYFORKS SHADOW and out of HAYFORKS SUGAR & SPICE by HAYFORKS IMPRESSIVE. "SUG" In her own showing carrer had won serveral reserve and grand champions. Our cattle are still top of the line and better than ever. Ask our buyers! We have cattle of all ages bulls, cows, pairs, calves, and potential trophy steers, for showing, breeding, pets, beef and virgin bulls for first calf heifers. We breed for confirmation, horn, color and disposition. |
